Universal President Honored

Darrell Cobbins was honored by Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity and the Hobson-Goodlow Foundation at its 18th Annual African-American Male Image Awards on November 10, 2012 at the Memphis Marriott-East.  Cobbins received the honor for contributions in the area of Business.  

Other award recipients were:  Minister Charles Fulbright, Germantown Road Church of Christ (Religion), Martavius Jones, Shelby County Unified School Board (Community Service), William Phillips, Ph.D, Methodist-LeBonheur Healthcare (Corporate Executive), Les Smith, Reporter-WHBQ/Fox-13.  

A special Service for Humanity Award was presented to Sixth Circuit-U.S. District Court of Appeals Judge Bernice Donald for her historic accomplishments in the field of law/justice in a career spanning more than 30 years.



The event's Keynote Speaker was City Councilman Harold Collins and Mistress of Ceremonies was WDIA Radio Personality- Bev Johnson.
